The Woman Outside My Door by Rachel Ryan | Publisher: Gallery Books | Genre: Thriller | Find it on: Goodreads
This perfectly adequate thriller provides a well written mystery but lacks emotional depth.

Cody has a new grandmother. One his mother had never seen and his father doesn’t believe exists. But when Cody disappears “New Grandma” becomes very real… for everyone.
Ryan presents a well written debut that touches on the long lasting effects of trauma, the death of a loved one, betrayal, and devotion. And while the main thread of this thriller offers plenty for discussion, Ryan attempt at misdirection leads to too many red herring sub plots while the real mystery feels neglected until it’s time for the big twist reveal.
A quick thriller for library pick up and an evening in.
